FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Dan Skipper is now the veteran on the offensive line for Arkansas and Friday he continued to garner preseason accolades heading into the 2016 season.

Skipper was one of 70 players named to the Outland Trophy watch list on Friday, the award given to the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman.

Arkansas had two players on the list last season as Denver Kirkland and Sebastian Tretola were honored.

Skipper is one of two returning lineman in the SEC that earned all-conference honors in 2015 from both the coaches and the Associated Press after he started all 13 games for the Razorbacks. Skipper registerd 53 knockdowns and did not commit a penalty of the final nine games of the season, according to the university’s release.

The 6-foot-10, 326 pound tackle has been named a preseason All-American by Lindy’s and Athlon while he was named preseason All-SEC first team by Athlon, ESPN, Lindy’s, Phil Steele and the Sporting News. Lindy’s also named Skipper the SEC’s best run blocker.
