CHICAGO (KFSM)- Arkansas senior linebacker Brooks Ellis has been named to the preseason watch list for the 32nd annual Butkus award. For Ellis this is the second consecutive year that the linebacker has been on the preseason watch list.
Ellis has already been named to two other preseason accolades, the Athlon All-SEC third team and the Phil Steele All-SEC third team. The linebacker was a huge asset to the Razorbacks last season, he led the team with 102 tackles, 67 of which were against SEC opponents.
The Fayetteville, Arkansas native will be one of the players attending the 2016 SEC Football Media Days Wednesday, joining head coach Bret Bielema.
