Severe storms are possible Thursday afternoon into the evening. The entire area will see a risk of gusty winds, hail and heavy rain.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for most of the area till 5pm, Thursday.

Thunderstorm chances will increase during the late afternoon into the evening drive. The greatest chance of severe weather will come between 2pm and 6pm.

High resolution models indicate a complex of storms will be moving into Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley during the afternoon. This model shows strong to severe storms around 4pm (courtesy of WeatherBell).


These thunderstorms could also drop heavy amounts of rain. 1 to locally 2 inches of rain will be possible through tonight.
