WEST FORK (KFSM) — The mayor of West Fork has resigned.
Mayor Charlie Rossetti submitted his letter of resignation Tuesday (July 19).
The letter states:
I am submitting a letter of resignation as the Mayor of West Fork. I will no longer be able to serve this community and my constituents as you deserve.
It has been an honor to be your Mayor and I hope that I have been of benefit to this community.
This resignation is effective immediately.
Kristie Drymon, the City of West Fork Finance Director/Treasurer, said Wednesday the city council will have to set a date for a special meeting to appoint an interim mayor. A new mayor will then be elected during the November general election and will fulfill the two years that were left of Rossetti’s term, she said.
