Fort Smith Police Searching For Suspect In Car Radio Theft

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Police are searching for a man who was accused of breaking into a Fort Smith resident’s car last month and stealing his radio.

The theft occurred around 9:15 a.m. on June 5 when the vehicle was parked outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Rogers Avenue, according to a Fort Smith Police Department press release.

Surveillance footage caught the suspect entering the vehicle and taking the radio.

The man appears to be a white, heavy-set male, about 45-55 years old, the release states. He is believed to be driving a silver SUV with a dark-colored driver’s side front quarter panel and a sunroof, with the license plates starting with 873.
