SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) — A Siloam Springs mother was convicted of manslaughter Wednesday (July 20) in the death of her infant son.

The child’s father, Austin Moss, was convicted of manslaughter in the boy’s death on July 14. Austin moss pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in August.

Instead of going through a second trial, Jennifer Moss pleaded guilty to manslaughter as well, according to Cearley. She was sentenced to six years in prison and four years suspended sentence.

The couple was arrested in February 2015 after first responders were called to 300 Meadow Court on Jan. 25 in reference to six-month-old boy in cardiac arrest, according to police.

AUSTIN ANDREW MOSS

An autopsy revealed the child was asphyxiated due to co-sleeping, according to police. The Mosses told officers they went to sleep with the baby between them, according to police.
