ARKANSAS (KFSM) -- An Arkansas State trooper's kind act has spread across Northwest Arkansas after he went out of his way to help a group of stranded motorcyclists.

Christian Motorcyclists Association group was traveling through Arkansas when one of their bikes broke down, effectively stranding them along the side of the road until they could get it repaired.

Arkansas State Trooper Gabriel Chambers saw the group and stopped to check on them, said rider Terri Aydelott in a viral Facebook post. Chambers got the thirsty travelers water, and then went and bought them food for a picnic lunch -- all out of his own pocket.

"We are used to people doing good things," said Aydelott. "But, did we appreciate him? We thoroughly appreciated it because it was so extremely hot."

After benefiting from Chambers thoughtful act, the group of riders said they decided to pay it forward later on in their ride when they saw someone else who broke down alongside the highway.
