LAKE TENKILLER (KFSM) -- The Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department brought in Texas EquuSearch and Recovery to help them search Lake Tenkiller for the body of Matthew Fagan.
Friday (July 22) the Texas team used sonar equipment to sweep parts of the lake. The team is a non-profit organization that helps search for bodies in water all over the country.
Fagan was reported missing in June by three friends he hiked Buzzard Roost Trail with at Cato Creek.
The three friends were eventually arrested and charged with his murder. The search for Fagan's body in the lake near the trail is still underway.
"We would like to find the guy just so the family does have some closure," said team member Tammy Watters Team Watters Sonar.
"We have searched this lake in the past for Stephen Adams who is still missing today. It would make my day if I lucked up and found a pick up truck with Stephen Adams in it," said team member Dennis Watters.
