MEMPHIS, TN (KFSM) – Arkansas has turned into a running back factory since Bret Bielema took over as head coach and the Razorbacks added another high touted back on Sunday night.

Chase Hayden, a four star recruit from Memphis, committed to play for the Razorbacks as he made the announcement on Twitter. Hayden previously narrowed his choices to Missouri, Oklahoma State and Arkansas.

“I feel comfortable with the coaches,a place where I feel like I can just fit in, come in and compete for early playing time and a place I feel like needs me,” Hayden said. “It just makes me want to work harder because I know people will work that much harder and try to come after me and try to show that I don’t belong there. It makes me want to work out, work harder, go out there each day and give it my best.”

Hayden ran for 2,511 yards and 31 touchdowns while averaging nearly 10 yards a carry. Hayden added 19 catches for 249 yards as he led St. George to a 2-A Tennessee state championship.

Hayden is the 17th commit to Arkansas for the 2017 class and the second running back as he joins Maleek Williams of Punta Gorda, Fla.
