Hillary Clinton Holds Primary Night Event In Brooklyn, New York

(KFSM) — Hillary Clinton became the first woman to become a presidential nominee of a major party on Tuesday afternoon (July 26).

She received the required number of delegates after South Dakota pledged 15 of its 25 delegates to Clinton.

She needed 2,382 delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination.

Clinton will formally accept the nomination on Thursday night, before embarking on an intense fall campaign with polls showing her clash with Republican nominee Trump is, for now, too close to call.
