Trial Reset For Man Charged With Driving Over, Killing Woman

SEBASTIAN COUNTY (KFSM) — A man charged with the murder of a killing a woman and attempting to kill her child has had his trial date scheduled.

The jury trial for Aaron Cutsinger, 26, will be held the week of Nov. 7, 2016, according to the Sebastian County Circuit Clerk’s office.

Cutsinger was charged with murdering Leanora Rippy and attempting to kill her child on September 19, 2015.

According to a press release, Cutsinger had admitted to his involvement in the murder of Rippy and the assault of the child during an interview with police; the boy was found wandering the area of Observatory and Sugarloaf Roads that Saturday night, covered in bruises.

His trial had been scheduled for May 12, but Cutsinger’s defense team filed a motion for mental evaluation.

Cutsinger has until 3 p.m. on September 14 to file any further motions.
