16-Year-Old Oklahoma Teen Fatally Shot When Answering The Door, Suspect At Large

OKLAHOMA CITY — A teenager was fatally wounded when a someone shot into an Oklahoma City home late Sunday night (Aug. 7).

Dazmeontae Sayles, 16, heard a knock on the door around 11:20 p.m. Sunday night, police told KFOR. Sayles went to answer the door, which is when a suspect fired multiple shots into the door and window.

Sayles was struck by the bullets and was later rushed to an Oklahoma hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are still searching for the suspect.
