LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — A man suspected of grabbing his firearm to shoot an officer during a sex offender call was booked into jail on Tuesday (August 17).

Johnnie Reed, 70, was hospitalized after being shot by a Spiro Police officer.

Reed was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony.

His bond has been set at $100,000, according to court records.
