LOGAN COUNTY (KFSM) — The suspect in a deadly shooting in Logan County was charged with manslaughter Friday (Aug. 19), according to the Logan County sheriff.

Sheriff Boyd Hicks said Zachariah Gray Chamberlain, 38, was charged with manslaughter after he was arrested Wednesday. The sheriff’s office was called to a residence on North Sixhalf Mile Road after a report of a man having been shot, Hicks said.

When deputies arrived they found Matthew Phillips-Self, 29, of Rogers, in the front yard of Chamberlain’s home dead from an apparent gunshot wound, according to the sheriff.

Investigators seized weapons and evidence from the scene and Phillip-Self’s body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock.
