SEBASTIAN COUNTY (KFSM) — A Hartford man died Friday (August 12) after police stated his truck was found upside down off a roadway following high speed chase.

Daniel Bell, 36, was identified as the driver of the red Ford Ranger, which had driven off West Harmony Road in a dry creek bed.

Hartford Police Chief Keith Dedmon stated in the incident report that he had pursued the truck after it nearly sideswiped him when their vehicles passed each other.

Dedmon lost sight of the truck after a couple minutes and canceled the pursuit. Twenty minutes later around 10:35 p.m., a forestry service officer found the vehicle. Bell was pronounced dead at the scene.
