Convicted Sex Offender Captured in Heavener After Prison Escape

LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — The sheriff’s office says escaped inmate Daryl Cooper has been apprehended. DOC officers found the convicted sex offender just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday (August 20).

Cooper was captured in Heavener, according to LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan.

Cooper, 31, was reported missing after he did not show for his 6 p.m. roll call at the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center.
