Arkansas Sex Offender Arrested After Allegedly Trying To Meet Juvenile For Sex At Walmart

LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — A convicted sex offender was arrested on Friday (Aug. 19) after he was allegedly trying to meet a juvenile for sex in Poteau.

William Livingston, 30, was arrested in the parking lot of the Poteau Wal-Mart around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, according to a LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office press release. His arrest came through a sting operation that targeted adults who solicited sexual conduct from minors.

Livingston is a register sex offender in Arkansas, but drove to Poteau believing he would be meeting a female juvenile for sex, the post states.

He was arrested and taken to the LeFlore County Jail, where he is being held on no bond.

Livingston is facing soliciting sex with a minor by use of technology and possession of marijuana, according to court records.
