SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) — A 16-year-old male is in critical condition after a vehicle versus pedestrian hit and run accident in Siloam Springs on Sunday (Aug. 28), according to a Siloam Springs Police Department press release.
The 16-year-old was crossing US Highway 412 when he was hit by a vehicle in front of America’s Best Value Inn and Suites at 12:42 a.m.
The suspect fled the scene and is believed to be driving a red early 2000’s model Ford F-150 with damage to the front grill area. The suspect was headed west into Oklahoma.
The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. where he is listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is being released at this time.
