ASP Troop Captain Arrested In Undercover Operation, Placed On Paid Leave

(FORT SMITH ) -- Arkansas State Police Troop H Captain Steven Bryan Davis was arrested Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 30) in an undercover operation at the Riverfront Park.

Davis, 51, was arrested on suspicion of loitering as he was on a walking trail at the park. He has been placed on paid administrative leave by Arkansas State Police.

He was arrested by the Fort Smith Street Crimes Unit.

According to ASP, Davis, a 26-year veteran with the department, was assigned to Highway Patrol Troop H, Fort Smith in September 2010. He was promoted to captain in May 2014, when he assumed the commander role of the troop.
