SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – 5NEWS’ Football Friday Night returned Friday (Sept. 2) with the return of the game of the week.
5NEWS featured the Har-Ber Wildcats versus the Southside High Mavericks.
The game was the home opener for the Springdale-based Wildcats.
“There is nothing like Friday night football, and Har-Ber Wildcat football,” said Billy Chidester, a parent of the Har-Ber student. “Just the energy, and the team, are great. It is fun to watch football. We love fall because of football.”
Some said this would be one of the final opening games for their children.
“This is a big night for us, because [my son] is back. So, it is just special,” said Carla Chastain, the mother of twins on the Wildcats. “We love Jesus, family, and football. And that is it.”
