The first day of Fall is underway with temperatures still in the low 90ºs this afternoon; however, change will arrive this weekend with temperatures falling on Sunday along with locally heavy rainfall.

This is the trough which will eventually dig across the central and southern plains with a large area of rain along and ahead of the front.

The heaviest rain will fall across Oklahoma but accumulated rain totals in Arkansas could be in the 1-2″ range. The slow moving nature of the front will cause some heavy downpours in spots which could lead to some isolated areas of flash flooding.
