FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — A man and woman were facing multiple charges each Friday (Sept. 23) following a drive-by shooting in Fayetteville the night before.

Fayetteville police arrested Kernan Rashad Veal, 34, and Sarah Therese Inman, 33, after Veal shot off several rounds at another man, according to arrest reports for both suspects.

Police were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. Thursday to a recording studio on North Market Avenue where the victim reported Veal and Inman were in a car together driving around in circles in the parking lot when Veal stuck what appeared to be a rifle out his window and fired five rounds in the victim’s direction, the reports state.

The victim was not hit by any of the bullets, but officers found four bullet holes in the windows of a nearby business, according to the reports.

On Friday, the victim also reported to police that he had found six gunshot holes to the front of his house on Sheryl Avenue and that his two children had been inside at the time, the reports state.

The victim told police he and Veal had gotten into a physical altercation with each other at a friend’s house earlier in the day on Thursday and he believed Veal shot at him and his house in retaliation, according to the reports.

When investigators interviewed Veal, he admitted to shooting at the victim and at the victim’s house and Inman corroborated that information by telling police she was with Veal when he fired the weapon, the reports state.

Veal is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, committing a terroristic act and discharging a weapon from a vehicle, jail records show. His bond has not yet been set.

Inman is facing charges of aggravated assault and committing a terroristic act, according to jail records. Her bond has not yet been.

Both have a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 26.
