BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — A child died after an SUV rolled over her in an accident at Bentonville Lake on Monday (Sept. 26).
Officers responded to Bentonville Lake around 4:30 p.m. on Monday after getting a report that a family SUV rolled backward over the 4-month-old girl, according to a department press release. The family was visiting the lake from Centerton.
The child was taken to Northwest Medical Center and then airlifted to Springfield, Missouri, where she passed away from her injuries.
The Bentonville Police Department is investigating the incident.
