Two People Found Dead In Carroll County

Carroll County(KFSM)– The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double fatality which took place Saturday (Oct. 1) afternoon.

Major George Frye said deputies were responding to a reported hostage situation at a home around 2:43 P.M. on CR 920.

Deputies attempted to contact any individuals inside of the residence when they arrived.  Frye said when deputies did not receive an answer, they entered in order to determine the well-being of anyone inside the residence.

Once inside, deputies discovered two deceased individuals in a bedroom. Deputies say both suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

The deceased were identified as Aubry Smith, 54, and Victoria Smith, 50, both of Harrison, AR. Frye said the deceased were married to each other, but recently separated. The Carroll County Coroner took custody of their remains.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the deaths are still under investigation but no suspects are being sought at this time.
