Springdale Police Release More Information About Sunday Night Shooting At Walmart

SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Springdale police released more information Monday (Oct. 10) about a shooting that happened inside a Walmart Sunday night.

Police responded to a gunshots call at the Walmart Supercenter on Elm Springs Road around 8:15 p.m., according to Lt. Derek Wright.

When officers arrived they found the victim, identified as Daniel Luna, 25, of Springdale, inside the store with a gunshot wound, Wright said. Luna was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center in unknown condition.

The suspect and Luna was involved in a verbal confrontation prior to the shooting, according to Wright.

Wright said they do not have a suspect in custody, but they do have leads.

The incident is under investigation.
