National Mountain Bike Magazine Hits NWA Trails For Testing Issue

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (KFSM) — One of the leading mountain bike magazines in the nation is currently in Northwest Arkansas testing dozens of new mountain bike models for their 8th Annual Bibles of Bike Tests issue.

More than a dozen of Bike Magazine editors, writers, photographers and videographers arrived in the area this week to test 2017 bike models and gear on mountain bike trails in Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville and Rogers.

“We selected Northwest Arkansas because the region’s efforts on becoming one of the country’s premier mountain bike destinations are mind-boggling,” said Ryan Palmer, the magazine’s gear editor, in a press release. “Since we were here in March, over 40 new miles of trails have been put in for all skill levels, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. What’s happening in Northwest Arkansas simply cannot be ignored.”

The Bike Mag crew will be riding several trail systems during their two week stay, including Slaughter Pen in Bentonville, Blowing Springs in Bella Vista, Mount Kessler in Fayetteville, Lake Leatherwood in Eureka Springs and the Railyard and Lake Atalanta in Rogers.
