FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — AT&T announced Monday (Oct. 24) the launch of an ultra-fast internet speed that is available to homes, apartments and small business locations in parts of Northwest Arkansas.

AT&T Fiber is a 1 gigabit internet connection on the 100 percent fiber network. Internet-only pricing for customers who choose AT&T Internet 1000, the fastest speed tier on the fiber network, starts at $90 a month.

The internet speed is available in parts of Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale.

“Our customers are increasingly interacting with their world in more data-intensive ways,” president of AT&T Arkansas Ed Drilling said. “A growing number of people are streaming content directly from their devices, and interacting with family and friends through live videos. For these reasons, we’re bringing our fastest internet speeds to Northwest Arkansas and its surrounding communities.”

The Northwest Arkansas area is one of 67 areas where the internet service is available. The service is now available to over 3 million locations.
