SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — A wreck in Sequoyah County sends one person in a medical helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the 82-year-old woman was involved in a wreck with another vehicle in the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 59, three miles north of Sallisaw Tuesday night (Oct. 25).
While the two cars were stopped on the road, a third car going southbound plowed into one of the first two cars while they were parked, causing a domino effect.
The 82-year-old was ejected from her vehicle, landing in a ditch. OHP said the woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital by medical helicopter. She is in guarded condition with multiple internal and external injuries.
