FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- The streets were filled with costumed trick-or-treaters in downtown Fayetteville for the 15th Annual Trick Or Treat On The Square on Monday night (Oct. 31).

The Fayetteville visitor's bureau hosts the event every year as a safe and fun alternative to traditional door to door trick-or-treating.

Parents and kids enjoyed carnival games, face painting and costume contest.

Terra Tots manager Alan Hill said his business on the square enjoys participating every year.

"I've been here three years, this is my third Halloween with Terra Tots," Hill said. "It's a great opportunity to embrace the community, its not about selling anything, its about just giving out candy and giving out tattoo's and stuff to kids."

The Fayetteville visitors bureau is already looking forward to an even bigger turnout next year.
