FORT SMITH (KFSM) - A Fort Smith man is one of hundreds of candidates who have launched 2016 presidential campaigns.

David Kelley, who is running with the Grill Party, said he registered with the Federal Election Commission this year to become a presidential candidate.

Nearly 2,000 candidates registered with the agency to launch presidential campaigns. That's up from 420 in the 2012 election. Many more are filing this time, because the FEC switched things up in 2015.  Candidates now have the option to take the first step toward presidency on an online form rather than paper.

You can find the full list of presidential candidates on the FEC's website.
