Fort Smith Police Arrest Two After 8-Year-Old Brings Suspected Marijuana To Class

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The Fort Smith Police Department arrested two people on Thursday (Nov. 10) while serving a search warrant at a Fort Smith home.

Police obtained the search warrant for a home on North 35th Street on Thursday after an 8-year-old Fort Smith elementary school student brought suspected marijuana to school, according to a department press release.

Ginnie Doyel, 31, and Tyrone Cormier, 40, are facing charges of suspicion of possession of controlled substances with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a minor, the release states.

Both were taken to the Sebastian County Detention Center and are being held without bond.
