JOHNSON (KFSM) — A  Springdale man arrested on suspicion of breaking into a woman’s home and raping her in May has been arrested again on suspicion of the same charge, police said.

Jerry Lee Kidwell, 42, is facing charges of felony rape by sexual intercourse, and was also arrested on two misdemeanor warrants for failing to pay fines and costs out of Prairie Grove.

A woman told a detective Thursday (Nov. 10) that Kidwell sexually assaulted her on Wilkerson Road two days prior, according to police.

Kidwell was interviewed by Johnson police about the woman’s claim and was subsequently arrested when the interview ended. He was taken to Washington County Detention Center where he remained in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

In May, Kidwell was arrested on suspicion of felony rape and residential burglary after a woman told police she woke up to an unknown man, later identified by police as Kidwell, sexually assaulting her. Kidwell denied the accusations, according to an arrest report.

He is set to appear in court Friday morning (Nov. 18).
