FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Malco Theaters announced on Wednesday (Nov. 16) that it will add VIP seating and sell alcohol at its theaters in select Arkansas locations, according to a press release.

These locations include the Rogers Towne Cinema in Rogers, Razorback Cinema in Fayetteville and Ft. Smith Cinema in Fort Smith. The renovations will offer recliner seating with side tables, an expanded dining menu and a full bar with beer, wine and cocktails. The kitchens will be upgraded with state-of-the-art grills, ovens and additional fryers.

”We are excited to bring these new amenities to our theatres in northwest Arkansas. For 60 years we have been a proud member of these communities and feel like it is our second home,” said Jimmy Tashie, Senior Executive VP of Operations.  “Our emphasis has always been on quality and we have always stressed the importance of staying ”ahead of the curve” in sight and sound technology. Now, we’ll be adding another layer of excellence by increasing the seating comfort for our patrons. Our family has been in this business for over 100 years, and we’ve always embraced any new idea that enhances the moviegoing experience for our patrons. We believe these new amenities will add to the already fun and exciting experience of going out to the movies.”

Construction will begin in early 2017 and is expected to be competed within three months.
