FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- A police chase started in Farmington and ended on the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus on Friday (Nov. 18).

Police found a recently stolen El Camino traveling southbound on North Holland, according to the arrest report. The report states that police attempted to stop the vehicle with emergency lights. The driver refused to stop, running stop signs and traveling in the wrong lanes at oncoming traffic. The vehicle continued east on Highway 62 while weaving through traffic, leaving the roadway and driving on sidewalks. The vehicle blew two tires and continued driving on the rims of the car at Martin Luther King and Razorback Road.

The vehicle was stopped in a University of Arkansas parking lot. The suspect refused verbal commands and was taken from the car.

Police arrested 24-year-old Dakota King while the vehicle caught on fire. King is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief, fleeing and reckless driving.
