FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- A massive light display put on by a Fayetteville family has become a tradition for many in the area.

The Stewart family turned on their display for the 13th year Sunday (Nov. 20). Carlin Stewart said the display started out with 3,000 lights and three inflatables and has since grown to about 370,000 lights and more 250 inflatables.

The family of six starts hanging their first set of lights in August and continues to work around the clock to get each display up before Thanksgiving. Then the Stewarts open their yard to the community, free of charge.

"We do it for the community, there's a tremendous amount of enjoyment we get out of it and we're just glad that we are able to do this," Stewart said.

By the time the holiday season is over, Stewart estimates 5,000 people will have stopped by the family's yard.

The light display will be on nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 4423 E. Wyman Road in Fayetteville. For more information, click here.
