ARKANSAS (KFSM) -- It's the time of year for long lines and crowded aisles but if you do your shopping at Walmart, you can avoid the hassle with a new online grocery service.

Walmart Grocery Online allows you to shop on the web, pay for your goods and pick your order up at the door.

Anything you want in store should be on the website as well.

While several people are skeptical of this new technology, one local shopper said she doesn't shop any other way. Linsay Huitink said she saves time by not having to walk through the store and stand in line.

"I have little kids and I don't like going through the store," Huitink said. "It's so nice to be able to drive up and just pick up my groceries."

She also said the online store offers a lot of selections.

"They tell you about their seasonal stuff as well, so I don't think you're missing out."

Users can choose the items they want, pick a time and location to pick them up, and then workers will bring their order directly to the car.

Users must pay for groceries online. There is no charge for the service, and the only requirement is that orders must be a minimum of $30.

The pick up service is offered in the following cities:

  • Bentonville
  • Fayetteville
  • Fort Smith
  • Rogers
  • Springdale
  • Van Buren
