LEFLORE COUNTY — A 15-year-old Spiro teen is dead following an ATV incident, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
River Cusick, 15, died Tuesday (Nov. 22) about 3:30 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Cusick was taken by Life-Flight to the hospital in Tulsa for treatment of head and internal injuries after his Honda ATV rolled several times, according to OHP.
According to police, about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Cusick and two others were riding ATVs in the county near Spiro. Cusick’s ATV broke down and the two others used a wire cable to pull the disabled ATV. The ATV rolled when cable got tangled in the front axle.
