Fort Smith School Board Decides On Two Superintendent Finalists

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The Fort Smith School Board has invited two finalists for the superintendent position back to Fort Smith for extended interviews. The board decided on the the two finalist after interviewing five candidates on Monday (Nov. 28).

Doug Brubaker and Mike Roth will return for interviews in mid-December.

Brubaker is the associate superintendent for Garland Independent School District in Garland, Texas. Roth is the superintendent of Leavenworth School District 453 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Former superintendent Dr. Benny Gooden retired in June after 30 years. Dr. Gordon Floyd is serving as interim superintendent.
