FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The UAFS Campus Activities Board has teamed with the Arkansas Blood Institute to host a two-day blood drive at the university campus, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Anyone is welcome. Those who participate don’t have to be affiliated with the university.

The event began at 9 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 29) and will continue until 4 p.m. today (Nov. 30).

Hannah Nichols Campus Activities Board Community Events coordinator at the university said those affiliated with the event and programming board have set goals for the event.

They are trying to get 120 people to donate blood, Nichols explained. She said 100 people participated in the event Tuesday.

Participants will receive a free health screening and t-shirt, Nichols added.
