FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The City of Fort Smith passed an ordinance on Tuesday (Nov. 29) that allows free parking in downtown Fort Smith throughout the holiday season.
The ordinance suspends downtown parking meter enforcement through Dec. 30.
The city said it was their way of wishing downtown shoppers a very happy holiday season.
