JOHNSON COUNTY (KFSM) — Three suspects were arrested after firing upon Johnson County deputies during an attempted traffic stop on Monday (Dec. 5).
Johnson County Deputies were called out to the Knoxville area on Monday afternoon, according to a press release. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was believed to be part of an earlier incident.
However, people inside the vehicle fired shots at the deputies and the car took off, the release states. Deputies pursued the vehicle, but later lost sight of it.
They found the vehicle abandoned in the Knoxville area. After searching the area, deputies found three suspects, who were taken to the Johnson County Detention Center.
This is still under investigation.
