A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Northwest Arkansas with minimal accumulation across the higher terrain. Snow and sleet totals will be less than 1″ but due to the extreme cold it will likely accumulate on bridges and overpasses late Saturday afternoon and overnight.

This map shows the likelihood of snow accumulation across the area. Within the exception or two of a pocket of heavier snow, most locations will receive around 1/2″ in NW Arkansas or less. In the River Valley, minor amounts are expected.

This map shows the snow at 9pm Saturday. The timeframe to watch is 7pm to midnight for snow accumulation. Bridges and overpasses will remain slick into Sunday morning in areas that experience snowfall due to temperatures from 5-12 degrees.
