ROGERS (KFSM) — Benton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they responded to a report of a vehicle driving into Beaver Lake on Monday (April 3).
Shannon Jenkins with the sheriff’s office said the driver intentionally drove a white SUV into the lake and was able to get out of the vehicle before it was submerged.
He fled the scene in a blue Chevrolet pickup that was waiting for him. The sheriff’s office is looking for the truck with plate number 694 UEN with a mattress in the back.
Jenkins said the white SUV was stolen out of Fort Smith. Dung Pham reported the vehicle stolen from the 3000 Russell Street in Fort Smith. The owner of the vehicle is Shelter Insurance in Conway.
