Hogs Cruise Past Vandy To Take Series

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Arkansas finished its weekend series against Vanderbilt in a commanding fashion. Claiming a 7-1 victory over the Commodores Sunday to win the series. The Razorbacks advance to 37-14 overall and 16-10 in conference play.

Senior Dominic Taccolini got the start for Arkansas Sunday on the mound. It was the first appearance on the for the senior pitcher since April 14th. He has been dealing with arm soreness which has hindered his playing time. Taccolini (4-0) threw 4.2 innings allowing just one run off three hits. Jake Reindl, handled the rest throwing 4.1 scoreless innings allowing just three hits and struck out six batters.

After nearly being silenced in game two, Arkansas’ offense bounced back Sunday. The Diamond Hogs recorded 10 hits, including three home runs. Grant Koch helped the Razorbacks get on the board first with a two run homer. Dominic Fletcher and Chad Spanberger would add their own dingers to bring the Hogs’ home run total to 66 on the year.

Arkansas travels to College Station next to face Texas A&M in their final series of the regular season. First pitch is slated for 6: 30 p.m. on Thursday.
