BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) -- UPDATE: Margaret Heron was found safe in Benton County on Friday night (July 7).

The Benton County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing woman who walked away from home in Decatur.
A silver alert was issued for 82-year-old Margaret Herod. The sheriff's office said she has dementia and wandered off from her home at the 22000 block of Carlton Drive in Decatur around 8 a.m. on Thursday (July 6).
Herod has gray hair and weighs less than 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, black pants, with one white shoe and one black shoe.
Sgt. Shannon Jenkins said at this time they are restricting the search to trained personnel only, but will make an announcement in the event they need additional personnel. Crews are handing out flyers of the woman, and it is also available on their Facebook page. They said people can help by sharing the flyer.
Jenkins also said Heron likes McDonald's and to explore, so if someone does pick her up she may ask them to take her to the restaurant.
Search and rescue crews have been searching for Herod with helicopters, drones and K-9s. They expanded their search area on Friday (July 7), which has been the hottest day of the summer so far. The crews are searching areas of rough terrain.
Herod has wandered away from home before. Jenkins said people with dementia oftentimes don't recognize their family members and get scared.
"This is not the first time she had wandered off," Jenkins said. "They have been able to find her in the past. They've located her at different neighbors homes. They've found her hidden in little areas. She just gets scared and wanders off."
