A new study shows caffeine may help people with chronic kidney disease.

Researchers studied more than 2,300 Americans with chronic kidney disease and found those who drank the most caffeinated drinks reduced their risk of dying before their time by 24%.

Researchers said caffeine consumption may have a protective effect.
