PRAIRIE GROVE (KFSM) -- A man was arrested after a multi-city high-speed car chase that ended in a crash in Fayetteville, according to police.
Prairie Grove police say the chase began Wednesday (Feb. 21) morning just after midnight when police tried to pull over Cody Haley for speeding in a black Ford pickup on Arkansas 62 near Little Elm Road.
Haley, 26, led police on a chase through Farmington into Fayetteville.
Haley tried making a U-turn in front of an oncoming car and the chase ended when he drove into a residential area crashing into a mailbox on Camelia Lane, according to police.
Haley surrendered to police after his back tire went flat, police said.
The Farmington Police Department, Fayetteville Police Department and Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted with the chase that lasted less than 11 minutes, according to police.
Police said Haley isn't from the Prairie Grove area and alcohol does not appear to be a factor of the incident.
Haley faces several charges, including fleeing, reckless driving and drug charges. He's being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $3,500 bond as of Wednesday (Feb. 21).
Haley has a hearing set for March 23 in Washington County Circuit Court.
