CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) -- Deputies blocked the entrance of THOR Global Defense Group in Crawford County near Van Buren Wednesday morning (May 2).
Investigators with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Crawford County Sheriff's Department were at the facility.
Deputies said investigators are checking paperwork in relation to some sort of weapon.
Investigators were seen carrying out evidence and placing it into a van outside of THOR.
According to Candice Settle, the attorney for the property owners, Knesek Properties, officials did take some evidence that included digital information. Settle said that may take some time for investigators to sort through.
"The owners are fully cooperating with officials with regards to this search warrant," Settle said. "The owners fully intend to ensure that their constitutional rights and privileges are not compromised."
"We do not believe that any of the owners have done anything wrong," Settle said.
Crawford County deputies are assisting Homeland Security and ATF agents as they execute the search warrant, according to Sheriff Ron Brown.
THOR Global Defense Group is a gun manufacturer. There is also a gun range at the facility.
"I got a knock at the door and the officers asked my name and if I had kids and if I had guns, and then they said that they were doing an investigation and they may or may not be here all day," neighbor Casey Glidewell said.
Glidewell lives near THOR Global and said it was scary to see Homeland Security serving a search warrant at the facility.
"I have talked to them and have never had any problems with them and they're very nice people, so I hope everything turns out well for them," she said.
As of 10:20 p.m. Wednesday (May 2) night, investigators were still inside executing the search warrant.
Settle said there is no way to tell how long it may take for officials to finish carrying out the warrant.
