More Than 60 Animals Seized From House Near Lincoln

LINCOLN (KFSM) -- More than 60 animals were seized from a house outside of Lincoln on Wednesday (June 13).

The Washington County Sheriff's Office, Prairie Grove Police Department and the Animal League of Washington County were all seen taking animals from the property in the area of 120 S Highway 45.

Deputies seized 67 dogs, 8 goats, and on pony, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Police said the property was an alleged puppy mill.

Debbie Cain, 62, is facing eight counts of felony animal cruelty charges and 62 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. She was taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

Police told 5NEWS that Cain did not willingly give up the animals. They were taken to veterinarian clinics in the area.

An officer on the property described the scene as "ungodly."

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
