HARTMAN (KFSM) — Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Hartman woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband on Sunday (July 29).
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ambra Dawn Evans, 38, on Monday (July 30) in connection with the death of her husband, Craig Evans.
Deputies responded about 9:12 p.m. Sunday to the stabbing at 192 Line St., where they found Mr. Evans, 50, with a stab wound to his chest.
Evans died from his injury before he was able to be taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
Sheriff Larry Jones said his office plans to ask the prosecutor’s office for a second-degree murder charge against Evans.
Craig Evans’ body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
Ambra Evans is being held at the Johnson County Detention Center with no bond set.
